Alright folks, it’s another Thursday, and another installment of Mortals, Take Cover!  Thanks for taking a look!

10. Deadpool #1000

I kind of hate that a Deadpool cover has made my list, especially one that’s such a gimmick, but Deadpool looks pretty good in a noir style, doesn’t he?

9. Amazing Spider-Man #639

This cover has been a promotional image for a little while now, but I think it’s a cool design idea.

8. Red Hood: The Lost Days #3

Very artsy, very “what’s going on here?”  I like it.

7. Brightest Day #7

The answer to the question here is “probably not.”  At least the cover looks pretty nice, though.

6. Red Robin #15

But…Tim Drake IS Red Robin!  What’s going on?  I guess I have to read to find out!

5. Secret Warriors #18

There’s a lot going on on this cover, but it makes sense if you’ve been keeping up with the story thus far.  Steve Rogers as Captain America is always a good guest star, as far as I’m concerned.

4. Avengers Prime #2

Very trippy, but that’s what happens when the Asgardians and their rainbow bridge are involved.  I like the cover, but it doesn’t give much information, although that might be a good thing.

3. House of Mystery #28

This cover is beautifully drawn(painted?) and has just enough going on to catch the eye, but doesn’t come off as too busy.

2. Jonah Hex #58

Brilliant use of perspective, and very relevant to the stated story.  Excellent work.

1. S.H.I.E.L.D. #3

This book’s spot on the list might be influenced by how much I’m looking forward to reading it, but the cover is still very nice looking.  And who doesn’t like Galactus?

And that’ll do it for this installment.  Thanks for reading!
